Now if GM would only put the 8-way power seat the HHR LT has in it, this would fix the lack of "tilt adjustment". Add an Automatic version of XFE for a bump in MPG and GM has competitor in the compact market and a way to prepare buyers for the new Cruze that will be more expensive than the Cobalt. |

Re: GM: Resurrect Cobalt LTZ
Glad you liked it.
![]() Myself, I am not a fan of the design of the Cobalt's interior. It's wholesomely unoriginal, a carbon copy of the interior of a VW Passat. GM's design studios can do much better, and, in fact, they are with recent products. ![]() ![]() Not only is it unoriginal, but it's quite dated as well. VW debuted that generation of Passat for the 1998 model year. The Cobalt, as we all know, debuted for the 2004 model year. However, interesting color combos can and do improve the Cobalt's interior. |

I'd say my #1 complaint would be that the lighting makes some of the controls quite hard to read at dusk. Another one they probably never thought of.... the silver finish on the bezel around the inside passenger door pull can be scratched off by a watch bracelet. I can fix that one myself in about five minutes, though. I've got more complaints than that about my Miata's interior... from a dopey vent design to hidden controls, dust attracting materials, the fastest fogging windows ever (that also resist de-fogging) and a cheap, peeling steering wheel. Probably will have to get a nice leather cover for that.

Re: GM: Resurrect Cobalt LTZ
the design with all the beige and fake wood is dated. nuns and coupon clipping housewives will love it. no one else under 35 will be all that impressed.

Re: GM: Resurrect Cobalt LTZ
GM still has to get over the idea that people here aren't ready to pony up big bucks for compact cars......then you might loose a little of the beige.....

Re: GM: Resurrect Cobalt LTZ
My mom bought hers for around $16k. It was a GM company car with around 3,400 miles and was a couple months old. Otherwise I would think that the $20k sticker price for it would have been a bit much for a Cobalt

Re: GM: Resurrect Cobalt LTZ
Price will be a factor if the Cobalt LTZ returns, especially with $2.00 a gallon gas.
Bet that is one of the reasons the Cruze was "delayed" until after the 2010 union agreement kicks in. |
