Re: The Definitive GM Performance Car List 1986-200x

What about the 94-95 SS S10 200hp and 260tq compared to the 150hp and 235tq for the regular S10.

Re: The Definitive GM Performance Car List 1986-200x

I think that the Monte Carlo section should be changed to 1986- 1988 Monte Carlo SS and 1986- 1987 Monte Carlo Aerocoupe. Heh, that's just me getting technical.

I plan to cover trucks in another list SuperSS27 and will use these. Thanks!

I will definitely add that one FISH (nice photos!), as it is a HOT car, but in this list there are to be no Concepts or Trucks (except for GMC).

Quote:
Things to be covered in other lists:

1. Trucks (GMC only has trucks, so I've allowed them in)
2. Pre 1986 cars
3. CONCEPT CARS like the Pontiac Rageous or Chevy Borrego (one-off SEMA tuner type cars based on production vehicles are OK). They were cool, but GM didn't build 'em for us, so we shouldn't reward GM for not putting its money where its concepts were.
4. Race cars that have almost nothing in common with production cars aside from the name. (Current "Monte Carlo" in NASCAR, for instance)

Re: The Definitive GM Performance Car List 1986-200x

This thread was started so long ago I forgot all about that.

Also Ming, When the VE is launched in a month or two, One of us Aussies will fill you in on all the products.

I added that as a request and I decided to now remove it. The trucks really deserve their own thread. In fact I'm removing the GMC section as well and will use that in the new thread. Hope you guys can help me build it up. I'll put it in the "Check this Out!" section of the forums sometime soon.

Just to keep it intact I'm pasting it here:

GMC:

1991 Syclone
1992 Typhoon
1998 Sonoma ZQ8 Sport V6
2006 Sierra 1500 4WD SLE1 Vortec Max Performance Pack
2007 Canyon 2WD SLE-3 ZQ8 Sport 3.7L I-5

Re: The Definitive GM Performance Car List 1986-200x

Any ideas for 2007 model year cars? No Concepts, No Trucks. I need help with brands like Opel, Holden, Vauxhall and others for 2006 & 2007. Remember this is not about being complete, but about having a variety of different cars representing each brand--cars with the potential of being turned into real performers such as what is done in games like Gran Turismo 4, or Forza Motorsport (with both stock - but performance trim - and "modified" Celicas represented, for instance). If you know of a tuner house car that a customer can buy, such as a Mallet V8 Solstice or something, that is appropriate, too: http://www.mallettcars.com/solstice-conversion.htm

Re: The Definitive GM Performance Car List 1986-200x

Is the Lacetti WTCC car close enough to production to count?!?

EDIT: Sorry Ming, I see you put it in already, as a 2005. Good job! I like that car!
