G5 four doors exist. apparantly only in canada though.

Re: 2007 G6 Sedan: Pontiac Listened

Have you driven a 2007 GTP or GT with the 3.9? I think they might have retuned the steering and suspension on all of them, possibly the Aura's influence.

Side airbags remain an option. But side curtains are standard. The Pontiac site does not list leather as optional without the GT. Finally, as you might be aware, the hydraulic steering was standard on the 2006 GTP.

Let's hope they keep it up. A 6 speed automatic for all trim levels, stabiltrak as an option at least for all trim levels, and HID as an option would be decent update. If they add DI to the 3.5L with the 6 speed automatic they might get back the mieage the hydraulic steering took away.

Funny you mention that...here's what I did to my G6:

Haven't picked up any girls though

The G6 is a nice ride....and I like the looks of those body color headlight bezels - wicked cool!

Thanks Ghrank!

Re: the pics- Great minds think alike, and a stylistically correct improvement to an already swank ride.

You might try adding the hammerhead spoiler. You can order it in black. If you still have trouble getting girls, you can at least sleep soundly knowing that you can scare the living daylights out of any marine iguana that chances near your ride.

Right off the bat, you lose a lot of economy (and engine power) with "normal" hydraulic power steering. EPS makes it much more efficient. Pontiac should consider using the EPS, but completely deactivating the system at speeds over 30 miles per hour. That way you'll get feedback, great feedback actually.

Well you can buy a Cobalt 4-door and a G5 grille and you are set.

Like most things I do, this was not intended to insult, but potentially capable of doing so. I take personal comments about my reviews very seriously, since I want people to read my reviews and think of me as an evil mastermind.

The mood was rather similar to Jim Rome's toward his listeners ("The Clones"). Rome has both a sense of humor and a certain frustration toward his listeners. Five years of writing on GMI, and the ensuing pages of rabid knee-jerk responses, along with the cast of willing mis-participants, have often left me with a similar attitude.

I spend days tweaking these articles in order to address particular concerns that might arise, heading off as many of the knee-jerk reactions as possible, and trying to be as clear as I possibly can. Something will inevitably still come up, regardless of what I write, and that's where the slightly flippant disclamer came in.

It's my equivalent of Jim Rome saying, "Make sure your takes do not suck," or, "It was only a matter of time before one of you boneheads brought that up." Of course, when it comes to The Jungle, I'm often one of the boneheads that thinks of that exact crap, so I'm not offended when Rome refers to me as a bonehead.

Finally, I poke as much fun at myself as at The Reader. Most of us are goofballs who are a little not-quite-right in the head to be spending as much time on GMI as we do.

At any rate, no harm intended. During my writing time, if I think of something I think is funny, I'm still going to put it in. Sometimes I'll take it out, but usually I'll try to find a way to work it in and give The Reader the authority to decide if it's good or not.
