The Aveo was the best selling sub-compact 2 years ago, it is now in 5th place. And it’s sales are down almost 50% even know sub-compact sales have been going up for the past 2 years.

I find the idea that the Lucerne or any other Buick is more disappointing then the Aveo insane. Buick’s cars maybe old, but they are good and they out sell the Aveo which is a piece of crap that GM shouldn’t be selling.

Re: 2006 Most Disappointing

Well, I frankly don't know much about this so-called Aveo (sounds like I'm not missing much!!) and Pontiac is clearly dreadful, I agree (the rebranding is disgusting). But they do have the Solstice (which again is a rebranded saturn) -but still, there's some, SOME reason to think Pontiac may have hope. -- Man...there's SOOOO much potential with that division...it makes me sick to think people are getting paid to make what they're making of it now. Especially with the re-dawn of the muscle car. Man talk about wasted opportunity. I'd feel 100% more confident in turning Pontiac over to anyone on this board ANYONE, I'm dead-freakin' serious about that --

But...Buick...theres 2 cars, that's it...there is no Buick really. And Pontiac was never in the same league as Buick...Buick sold tons of cars. Pontiac was always much smaller. Looking at what Buick was, clearly can be, compared to what they are right now...no contest. Buick is darn near flat-lining, easily the saddest story at GM in my opinion.

I think Chevy's about half too by the way...they ruined the Tahoe for me, and it's too rebranded across the other divisions. I know the Cobalt sells, but I can't stand that thing. The Impala is tame, even with the SS...that could be a greeeat car. The Malibu is lame and is only for women who own 10 cats. I do like the Vette and the Trailblazer...though I think I spotted what must be the NEW trailblazer, and I thought it too has gone the way of the Tabloe.

Saturn...FOUR thumbs up! Saturn's clearly the big winner in my eyes. Great designs, great offerings. I NEVER would have EVER thought about Saturn as an option for me, but now I would. Way to go GM.

Cadillac. Ugh. Now that Saturn's looks good, Caddy's look like Saturns, but with a price tag that makes me laugh. Seriously, would you drop 60 large on a Esclade, when you can get a Tahoe and have enough left over for another vehicle?? How about 40+ on a CTS? People do, I know, but not me. They need to completely rethink this brand. It's good, but like I said earlier...makes this the Buick brand, and come up with a new line for Caddy. Something big, bad, brash, for pete's-sake LEAD, leeeead with Cadillac. Go nuts! Make Cadillac stand for something!!! Anything!!!!

No you have that backwards the Solstice was the original roadster and then GM made a Saturn version of it.
