I want a RWD car that is not a Cadillac....what GM product is available
Lutz recognized that there are buyers like me that only will settle for a rwd car...and end up buying brands other than GM because I don't want to drive a Cadillac (for personal reasons).
Is the Camaro not on the same ZETA platform as the G8 Pontiac. Is so, why has the G8 not been redbadged as a Chevy. The G8 was really appealing especially when compared in price and performance to the BMW 5 series. Why won't GM listen to Lutz about the rebadging of the G8? |

Hmm. Let's think for a few seconds. I want a RWD GM car that is not a Cadillac. I love the Pontiac G8. There are still many left on dealers lots...see where I'm going buffy? (Can I call you that?)

Watch for the reborn Grrrr8, to be known as the Chevrolet Copper.

I don't want a dead brand....Pontiac as when I trade in 2 years the depreciation will be onerous. In any event, I'm not going to rubber neck in a G* to see what's coming down the street that I am about to enter because of the thickness of the A pillar and windshield design in the G8. I'm likely going to buy a BMW which doesn't have the visibility problem. I'll pay more but I'll get a safer car.

There's the Solstice and Sky but you mentioned not wanting to buy from dead brand...
I'm assuming you're restricting to just cars...plenty of RWD trucks and SUV's

Geta G8 GXP I know you are not a big fan of buying from a dead brand but those things will become collectors items in the future and the ongoing pontiac fire sales might be your best chance at getting one for a reasonable price. If not then go for the new camaro

MK4 Supra, Integra Type-R, VW MKIV R32, Buick Grand National and GMC Syclone. These cars can easily command high prices despite their age. Why? Because they have a cult following. No Pontiac has that, so that possibly is out the window.
Anyway to answer the OP's question...Get a Corvette, or a Camaro. You are SOL if you want non Cadillac RWD unless you want a big, heavy and useless BOF SUV. |

Re: I want a RWD car that is not a Cadillac....what GM product is available
The '09 Vettes are available cheap now that anyone interested in the base model knows the '10 Grand Sports are at the dealers. The GS is so cool for the extra $5500. that everyone wants one so the '09s are gathering dust and big incentives to sell them.

So you wont consider the CTS at all? The A pillar on the CTS isn't all that bad to for vision, plus there's the hot V version if you really want power.
