Honda and Nissan do the same with their coups as well. They just don't give them a separate 2nd name. Accord coupe, Altima coupe, Camry coupe. "Nothing to see here, move on." |

It's anticipation of the near certain demise of the BOF segment. The FJ is dead already. The 4Runner will remain simply on it's name alone but the volume will be much much smaller, back to off-road enthusiasts. The Sequoia will be a niche vehicle for those that need towing and space for 6+. The Land Cruiser may remain as a tip of the hat to the uber-wealthy. All four of the above will be shrinking into oblivion in the near future as the public defects the BOF segment. However in order to keep/capture these defectors there have to be choices available or they buy elsewhere. Not every defector from the SUV segment will move to a car. With the Venza there is a complete lineup of unibody utilities for every buyer from $23000 to $48000. If you include the Matrix then from $18000+ |

Re: Toyota Venza ?
For those not aware, the Venza will be available with either FWD or AWD, and you will have a choice between 2.7L 4-cylinder engine or 3.5L V6.
I'm not crazy about the grille, but I do like the rest of it.

Re: Toyota Venza ?
Why does that not surprise me?

Re: Toyota Venza ?
The Exterior of the Venza? is actually way more striking than the rounded off boring acadia for comparison. but damn that dash is just butt-ugly. I hate those ugly lines in the seat. reminds me of something that'd be in an old ladies car..
