Re: Nissan GTR Proto Unveiled
the competition in the US is so strong that I would never decide to go for Nissan, but I think it looks better than any other sport car from Japan (although the front is a bit ugly)

Re: Nissan GTR Proto Unveiled
Very nice looking vehicle, only thing I don't like is the tone color scheme on the front end. If someone could photoshop it to match the color of the rest of the care I think it would look much better. My question on the GTR is price. The regular Skyline/G35 is about 34Kish in the US. This car would most like by be 65-70k at the cheapest. That would put it square in the Z06's price range and for that amount of money it better be able to put up similar peformance numbers.

Re: Nissan GTR Proto Unveiled
It's nice but I wish they could build something above the G35 Coupe and under this because this thing is going to have an outrageous price tag.

Re: Nissan GTR Proto Unveiled
I like it from the A-Pillar back, the front is very...pig-ish. I don't know what it is, the front just looks heavy.

Re: Nissan GTR Proto Unveiled
supposedly the GT-R will have a 450+hp TT V-6 w/ AWD and 7 speed SMG and/or 6 speed manual... definately will run with the 911 Turbo (Ghosen's stated target) and Z06 if that's true. my question is if this should be a Nissan or Infiniti... stylistically this looks way more Nissan (sharper edges, more mechanical looking) than Infiniti (sleek, organic looking). IMO, let Nissan get the 450-500hp 60k GT-R alongside the 30K 300-320hp Z, while Infiniti gets the ~300hp G35 for 35k and ~350-400hp G45/50 that's been rumored (upgraded version of the M45's V-8) for 40-45k.

Re: Nissan GTR Proto Unveiled
Why does this car have Corvette/Cobalt tail lights? I order that Nissan take them off!

Re: Nissan GTR Proto Unveiled
I like it. It is different and aggressive, but remains good looking.
If the specs and price is right I think this would do well in North America. I would buy it.

Just like the dual tail lights are a Corvette hall mark since the 60's... If anything the Colbalt's tail light setup of large outboard and smaller inboard is lifted directly from the Nissan Skyline GT-R, and who is in turn lifeted from some expensive Italian supercar. Go play any Gran Turismo game and see for yourself.
