My/Your Ideal Honda Lineup

Here's mine! Please go ahead and post yours as well!

*US-market Honda*

Accord: $19,000-$31,000
As-is except bring the SiR to American shores! Should have a turbo'd TSX engine rated at 340+ HP and 300+ lbs/tq. Lowered with a very taut suspension, projector HID headlights, 235/35/18 summer rubber, dual exhaust, and updated fascial.

Civic: $14,000-$22,000
As-is but have a bit better styling. We're talking about front and rear fenders that stick out for an aggressive, sporty, powerful stance. Sleek, but not 3005 styling. Interior should be a bit simpler. Civic Si should be rated at around 250 HP and 200+ lbs/tq.

Ridgeline: $15,000-$28,000
A new midsize RWD/4WD on a new crossover platform with more aggressive, trushish design. Interior is a little bit above the average for the class in luxury, but still a design you wouldn't be afraid to get dirty. Optional V8, as well as a Si version which would lower it, have RWD, and a 350+ HP/350+ lbs/tq V8 and sportier ground effects.

Odyssey: $25,000-$37,000
Exactly as-is.

CR-V: $20,000-$32,000
All new, sporty design. Low-slung design, larger tires, taunter suspension. All about fun. I4 good for 160 HP, however up-level models can get the 220 HP I4.

Element: $17,000-$24,000
An all new design that doesn't look like it's made out of blocks, lego's, and random panels. Build to go off-road, and the active-life-style youth. Priced from the mid teens to mid 20's. Built as a smaller, Honda alternative to the Xterra. Lots of versitility. AWD standard. Based on the Ridgeline platform. I4 and V6 engines with decent power.

Insight: $19,000-$24,000
Update it with the newest hybrid technology Honda has to obtain REAL WORLD 50+ mpg. Sporty design, two door and four door options.

Pilot: $27,000-$39,000
Update by have 4WD or RWD (based off Ridgeline platform), a much tougher design, raised a bit higher with large off-roading tires. SUV version of Ridgeline.

Destiny: $31,000-$49,000
A full-size CUV with a 260 HP V6 as well as a 300 HP V6 based a stretched Ridgeline platform. Targets the Saturn Outlook fullsize crossover.

Prelude: $18,000-$29,000
Honda's answer to the Mustang. A RWD 'pony car' that is very sleek and aggressive looking. V6 (260 HP) and twin-turbo V6 (350 HP). Si good for 400 HP from a light-weight 4.2L V8. 4-seater, two door.

Scream: $20,000-$29,000
To complete with the MX-5, the Solstice, the Sky, and possibly the Urge, Honda's RWD, $17,000 roadster features a Honda K20 engine, good for hitting 8,000 RPM and offering 170 HP while maintaining a weight under 2400 lbs. Scream Si offers the same nearly 200 HP I4 that the Civic Si offers. All models gets a 6-speed manual or manumatic. Si gets a sportier suspension tuning, more aggressive design and rubber, and a sportier interior.

S2000: $35,000-$44,000
Update the styling a little, have the standard model produce roughly 300 HP/300 lbs/tq while a hipo Type-R version produces 350 hp/300 lbs/tq.

Fit: The Fit as-is.

Why Intrance? I think we could dust-off and revive Prelude instead unless.... some will think it's disgrateful to put a name used for FWD cars for a RWD car

Thank you

Still, Jazz is to hit US shores in a moment, so why exclude it? I would also debate developing all-new big truck platform when the segment just started to contract. I think Honda is the least credible of the Japanese Big Three to build one - it would be an even harder sell than the Ridgeline.

I believe Honda would be well off bringing the Accord wagon to the US. I would also consider the Stepwgn and merging the Lagreat (Canadian Odyssey) with JDM's Odyssey styling.

EDIT: I've just seen the new JDM Stepwgn. I take my words back as concerns this car

Re: My/Your Ideal Honda Lineup

haha, personally I think the Jazz is ugly, then again, what's stopped me from designing it with words to explain what I'd like it to look like on other brands... I'll update it later.

And Toyota is coming out with the new, full-size Tundra... why not Honda? At least basing it off a TRUCK platform they can't say "It's a truck" when in reality it's just an ugly minivan with a bed...

HOLY CRAP!!! I love the sound of this. We have an '03 S2000 and I couldn't even imagine one with 450 hp. Would definately break 4.5 on the 0-60. Ours gets 5.5 on the 0-60. I wonder. . .

300lbft, 450lbft...Impossible on that motor using NA, even with boost it would be too difficult to get it reliable enough for production. Not to mention Honda would probobly never sell a car of that size with 450hp for safety reasons. the 240hp thats in it now is pretty **************** fast.

Re: My/Your Ideal Honda Lineup

Drop the Ridgeline and Insight. Bring in the Honda Stream from Japan. Stop designing ugly vehicles (just look at the new Accord, Ridgeline, CRV etc.)

Release the 4-door Sedan Civic Si model sooner. I really want one (not that'd I'd buy one)

Re: My/Your Ideal Honda Lineup

Just off of the top of my head:

City (JDM Life)
Today (Jazz)
Jazz (EUDM Civic)
Ballade (EUDM Accord/USDM Acura TSX)
Concerto (USDM Accord/Acura TL)
Symphony (Legend/Acura RL)
Prelude (S2000)
Stream
Odyssey
Opera (CR-V)
Passport (USDM Pilot/Acura MDX)

That's it. All based on somewhat current models.
