Re: Honda/Acura appreciation thread

Their torqueless engines need to rev so high I'm always alerted to one in my blind spot by the incessant buzzing sound. I don't even need to look to know its there!

Lets check your math. Honda offers 11 vehicles in their portfolio. 4 of them have optional manuals. That's ~36%.
Accord - Yes
Civic - Yes
CRV - No
Element - No
FCX - No
Fit - Yes
Insight - No
Odyssey - No
Pilot - No
Ridgeline - No
S2000 - Yes

LOL ok so I was adding some hyperbole but,

CR-Z coming this fall first hybrid with a 6 speed manual and Insight is going to get one after that arrival. Also new smaller coupe to have one too
so maybe 60% lol

If you want to compare down the line Ford actually matches Honda car for car and GM is just one short

Honda's manual cars
Fit --> Aveo and Fiesta both have manual options
Civic --> Focus and Cobalt both have manual options
Accord --> Fusion has one, Malibu needs one
S2000 --> Mustang, Camaro, Corvette, take your pick.

I'm not saying they don't offer them! this is what you appreciate about Honda! It's in no way bashing GM or Ford

Re: Honda/Acura appreciation thread

Let's see...

Honda is just a moderate sized "car company" that researches, designs, develops, manufactures, and sells automotives ... a wide assortment of engines, generator sets, lawn/garden equipment, motorcycles, jet aircraft (one of the fastest and most fuel efficient), and I'm certain I have probably missed a few things.

I have had 4 Hondas, starting with a 75 Civic CVCC plus the 3 I have now, that have provided approximately 650k miles of relatively trouble free use.

I wish! Its the most stylish sports bike I've seen yet. Blows the doors of Suzuki, Yamaha or Kawasaki products. I'd even buy it over a Ducati.

My ideal bike collection would include a VFR1200F for when I want to go fast

and a Harley Nightrod for when I want to pretend I'm Batman.
