There's been lots of off-road news this week at PickupTruck.com (2009 Hummer H3T, Rumored Raptor F-150), and we're not about to let the dust settle yet! Here's a sneak preview of the upcoming Ivan "Ironman" Stewart Signature Series Toyota Tundra, courtesy of the folks at MotiveClub.com.

To the off-roading community, Ivan needs no introduction. He's legendary in desert racing. Ivan won the Baja 500 a record 17 times and he's the only driver to have earned both the SCORE and Unlimited Class series championships in the same year. His affiliation with Toyota dates back to 1983 and he was inducted into the Off-Road Hall of Fame in 2006.

Ivan hasn't simply lent his name to the truck and stepped back. Ivan Stewart Tundras have been in production since 2000. To earn his continued endorsement Ivan became deeply involved from the start with the current program, selecting high grade components and designing a truck modeled after his own personal Tundra. According to Motive Club's manager, Ron Flint, Ivan vetoed adding a flashy light bar to the Tundra because he'd never bolt that kind of bling to his casual rig.

The Ivan Stewart Signature Series Tundra will be available in two stages. Stage 1 will have: 20-inch Alcoa forged alloy wheels, General Tire AT2 All-Terrains, 5100 Series Bilstein shocks, a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust, a Hurst billet and carbon-fiber shifter, and a sequentially numbered dash plate. Stage 2 adds Toyota Racing Development's new supercharger, reportedly rated at 504-horsepower when integrated with the Tundra's 5.7-liter V8.

Ivan Stewart Signature Series Tundras will only be available through Toyota dealers, starting this summer. Pricing hasn't been announced.

Motive Club is going to select one of their readers, and the reader's family, to be Ivan’s guests at a press event introducing the truck this summer. To find out more, check out MotiveClub.com.

Re: Ivan Stewart Signature Series Toyota Tundra

ivan stewart wont put on a flashy-blingy light bar, but hes all for 20" rims on an offroader?

carbon fiber shifter

general tires?

the bilsteins are good, but thats it for an kind of off road improvement.

Not too shabby looking. Get rid of that robustest exterior, and we're talking.
