Re: Infiniti G37and EX37

The European EX37 (and presumably the G37, as well) get a 7-speed automatic.

EX at a glance

* Unique combination of style and practicality
* Intelligent four-wheel drive
* Advanced features including Around View Monitor
* Potent 3.7-litre V6 engine producing over 310PS
* Advanced seven-speed automatic
* Superior build quality

Re: Infiniti G37and EX37

Don't most European countries tax motors based on displacement? I would have thought that between tax on displacement and cheaper gas in the US, we would get the larger engines and they would get the smaller ones.

The G35 and G37 are potent sedans, no doubt. But I think the 2008 CTS is the new car to beat in the category, since it offers just a hairs' width less performance, (subjectively) much superior styling inside and out, and an IIHS Top Safety Pick rating.

Infiniti is going after the big boys in Europe. Launching cars with the top of the line VQ and a new 7-speed auto transmission just shows how serious Infiniti is.

If MBZs and BMWs have big engines and high-tech trannies, Infiniti needs to have them too in order to get cross-shopped.

Agreed........of the 'Big 3' imports, I've always thought of Nissan as inherently sporty and with Infiniti, it has really shown
