Re: Hyundai Azera??
First of all, welcome to GMI.
I really don't have any idea about the ride and all of that good stuff, but I HAVE heard that the quality and design of the interior is subpar...I DO suggest to try to find time to look at it, that will be better than all the forums combined.

Re: Hyundai Azera??
I've heard that it's nice...for a Hyundai. It's certainly no Avalon (yet, anyway) and alot of people won't want to pay that much for a Hyundai (kinda like how VW tried to sell luxury-car Phaeton, and nobody wanted to buy a luxury car from an economy car brand.)
Same thing here, BUT the Azera isn't THAT expensive. My advice, go look at it, ride in it (since you're too young to test drive???), and see how good it is. Then look at its competitors - the Avalon, the Lucerne, etc. and make your judgement. |

Re: Hyundai Azera??
From what I've read and seen - unless you are bound for some reason to buy a Hyundai, you should rather see the Avalon, or, if you mind the price, just browse the large range of midsize offerings - the Azera really isn't that much bigger.

Re: Hyundai Azera??
my dad and i sat it one at the dallas autoshow and were very impressed!! it was really nice inside and had a cavernous trunk. the reason why i am asking is because it is in our price range for leasing. ChevroletMan knows what i am talking about. i was thinking about going to huffines hyundai and asking if one of the sales people could drive me around in an azera and let me know how it rides.

Re: Hyundai Azera??
I'm actually dying to drive an Azera. I really wanna see what the competition is up to.
But I'm not gonna run over to a Nyundai dealership to test drive one.

Do you really think a dealership would humor anyone under 18 by driving them around in a new car without their parents? I had enough trouble getting a chaperoned test drive in a Camaro when I was 18. I would be very surprised if any dealership lets you do that. Besides, IMO, how a car rides as a passenger is not necessarily correlated to how it drives for the driver. Price range or not, I think it's foolish to buy a car without test driving it at least a few miles. |

Re: Hyundai Azera??
Well I would imagine the ride would be quite comfortable. Considering the fact the Azera is just a Sonata on a stretched platform. The wheelbase is longer providing a lil' more agility on the road. I've seen a couple bebopping around Columbus and they look alot better in person. I still don't think you'll know for sure until your mom gets behind the wheel of one.

Re: Hyundai Azera??
i was just joking about that. but yeah. i am dying to ride in one. the seats are so comfortable. is it safe to provide my email address on here? i would like a few of you to email me while i am on vacation the new design's for the competition. i am going to be gon 10 days. but anywho, i saw a white one today at subway and it looked really good. i asked the owner how it drived and he said like a dream. so i'm assuming it's good, i also asked what he previously drove and he said a 2003 mercedes e class. i was kind of like whoa you went from merc to hyundai....interesting....but ehh.. oh thanks for welcoming me!
