Honda Settles Suit Over Defective Odometers
February 21, 2007

About 6 million Honda owners will get extensions of leases or warranties, or in some cases refunds, as part of a $16 million settlement stemming from faulty odometers, which added miles too quickly.

Because of the defective odometers, warranties expired earlier then than they should have.

Interesting, I wonder at what ratio the miles were racking up, because that could add up quick, not to mention it would affect your fuel mileage, or atleast what you thought your fuel mileage was.
