Got my Fit.

Well, we bought our Fit. We've been a Fit owner for the last four days. We purchased the Fit Sport AT/paddles, and I must say this car is a blast to drive. You can control the tranny with three different modes: Drive, Sport and sport/paddles. The paddles effectively give you complete control over the tranny. The steering is quick and responsive, and the ride is pretty firm. I agree with the "Go Kart" term some users have coined about the Fit's handling. This car is just fun.

One of the best features is the swiss army knife flexibility of the interior. The fit will fold up on the inside in about any configuration you can imagine.

If your looking at a car in this segment or even just looking for a car, you owe yourself a test drive in the Fit if you can find one on a dealer lot.

Just a comment about some review I've read somewhere where someone said the Fit's handling is "soggy" ........compared to what, a Go Kart. There's no point in going into a lenghty review. Car and Driver, Edmunds, TOV, and countless other publications have written more enthusiastically about the Fit than I ever could. I'll just say ditto to them.

We've put 500 fun miles on the Fit already, and it's easy to see why it is one of the top selling cars in the world.

Honda has sold over 3,700 fits just during the first 10 days here in the states. Too, bad they cut production in order to try to meet demand on their Civic Hybrid. Now they have 2 cars they can't fill the demand for.

Here's some pics of our Fit.

happy Fit owner

Re: Got my Fit.

Nice purchase! We have sold all 7 so far. The interior is amazing! The only it lacks is a center console. The 200 watt radio sounds pretty good too. Could use a sub, but pretty crisp sounding to my ears.

Yep, could use a center console, but whatever. The interior is Fantastic with the way it folds up into all those configurations. The stereo is OK, if anything it lacks bass response like you said, but it is a very good factory system.

If people are looking at a 4 door Civic sedan, I don't see how they choose the Sedan over the Fit. The Fit does the 4 door thing and adds all the cargo hauling versatility as well as costing less.

Re: Got my Fit.

^ I beleive the fit is sorta the new civic anyways..
1. Because the old old civic was such a smaller one then today
2. and because the new one is so pricey

I can agree with that. The Fit is like a glorified and exalted older Civic.

Improved interior flexibility, side impact & curtain air bags, ABS brakes, immobilizer & factory security system, electric steering and absolute control over the auto tranny with 3 different modes with F1 style paddles. The old Civic has arrived and it is almost perfect...........always gotta leave room for improvement .

Re: Got my Fit.

nice pics, lol. Although I don't like that car, is too small compared to my Expy, I think if i fold the third row seat it can actually fit inside my Expy, that's why is called Honda Fit, it fits anywhere. lol

Re: Got my Fit.

Now you can tell your wife/girlfriend she definitely looks better than her car, and it's not because the car looks bad, because I actually like the Jazz (who @ Honda was so stupid to name it Fit for US).

I don't necessairly agree with your decision about shiny rims and spoiler/Aero Down kit (or are they obligatory). I would invest in bigger wheels though. I think Europe gets at least one size more.

Happy motoring!

Well, It really wasn't our decision. We wanted cruise control, and that's the stuff you get when you must have cruise in the Fit. Though, the rims I like okay. The rims aren't chrome, they're like a brushed steel.

Re: Got my Fit.

You've got a Ridgeline, Fit, and do you still have that Toyota truck? You should take a picture of that!
