Re: GM fights back....
Just in time for the winter season, which isn't far off (I work in retail), and it's still July!

Re: GM fights back....
What was the point of using a 4x4 Tundra (non TRD Off-Road too) and not engaging the 4WD system? Seems a little fishy.
I also don't believe those tires are mud and snow rated on the Tundra either.

I doubt the Tundra would be stuck in 4WD. Anyway, I do like the auto locker feature on the Silverado.

Re: GM fights back....
believe me the silverado was in 2 wheel drive.
ive seen that done in real life, that diff is a nice piece. they have compared the silverado 2 wheel drive to a ford f 250 before with 4 wheel drive, they had them on a hill with rollers under the tires, the 250 couldnt get up, the silverado spun for a couple seconds then the diff locked in, and it went up with no problem |

Re: GM fights back....
I find that full sized trucks are too large to seriously off-road. Something like the Tacoma is much more suitable with a shorter wheelbase. But an FJ or a Jeep would still be even more preferable then.
If the Silvy could do that in 2WD w/ auto locker and the Tundra had to be in 4WD, it'd still be an advantage.
