Firm fights Toyota deal Diversified Property will file an appeal for the land Michigan is selling to automaker. Michigan developer Diversified Property Group, rebuffed in its efforts to buy land that the state wants to sell to Toyota Motor Corp., will appeal a court ruling that allowed Michigan to negotiate a deal with the Japanese automaker. The developer contends that the state disregarded its $25.25 million bid for the 690-acre property in York Township and had no intention to sell it to anyone but Toyota. "We were completely mistreated in an open-bid process," said Ryan Rosett, a partner at West Bloomfield-based Diversified Property Group. "We fully intend on filing to the Supreme Court."
