Re: IS-F at Long Beack (56K GO AWAY)

I think that the vents behind the front wheels look weird, and the bigger than normal hood looks kinda weird too. But the back end is really nice.

Re: IS-F at Long Beack (56K GO AWAY)

It actually doesn't look so "ricer" as it did in the press pics. I still don't like the vents on the side, and I really don't like the stacked exhaust. The front looks really good though, as does the interior.

Re: IS-F at Long Beack (56K GO AWAY)

I really like the base IS and IS350, but man, this IS-F...it just doesn't look proportional. The hood has an awkward shape and those vents do look strange on a sedan, but what really tops it off is the tasteless rear end. Who actually looked at those exhausts and said "Hey, that looks great!". The wheels are nice though...

I've seen it in person, and while the the normal IS looks OK, the IS-F is a disgusting pile. Someone went overboard with a Boy-Racer pen.

I agree. But it doesn't look as bad in these pics. I wish the specs on it were out.

Re: IS-F at Long Beack (56K GO AWAY)

The base IS, has these funky curves, and at the wrong angles, they look like poor cuts into the metal.

The IS-F is a design disaster. I actually had the urge to when I saw those tailpipes.

Kinda like Carrot Top.

I won't bash it for it's badge, but body kits are virtually always a big step in the ugly direction, and this is certainly no exception.

Re: IS-F at Long Beack (56K GO AWAY)

i like the IS-F, except for the front vent, the engine(all the wires are wierd looking), and the F logo, it looks like a last second detail

Re: IS-F at Long Beack (56K GO AWAY)

Doesn't look any worse than an M or AMG car. Most of the upgrades these high performance cars have are for good reason. More aggressive front bumpers or side vents on these kinds of cars are always functional, either to get more air to the engine, or to cool the brakes.

"rice" typically refers to tasteless mods which serve no purpose.

Re: IS-F at Long Beack (56K GO AWAY)

I dont care, that car looks bad ass!!! I like everything about it. I really like the exhaust, finally something different.

I also like the deals they painted to show the available colors, they look like turkeys.

Re: IS-F at Long Beack (56K GO AWAY)

Neat looking GT-type toy........but nothing to make BMW, Audi, Cadillac or any of the other big boys shudder.

Lexus' attempts to go 'sporty' are always temepered by their over-emphasis on luxury IMO and that's what keeps the IS-F (and the GS-F) from being taken seriously as competitors........
