The class is really getting high class in terms of materials... Honda should have kept up, are they having financial problems?

So long C&D 5 best trucks for 2009 too, the CX-9 may just be the new Pilot

Re: The Dirty details on the 2009 Pilot

Why are we comparing and LX or EX model Pilot to a top of line the model from everyone else?

At least find a pic of an EX-L Navi.

Re: The Dirty details on the 2009 Pilot

Doesn't matter what it looks like---its a Honda! I think Honda throws in some funky characteristics in their latest designs just to see if people buy into it becuase its a Honda. Obviously from seeing the # of Ridgelines, Elements, CRV's and to a lessor extent Civic sedans on the road the new Pilot will be a success no matter what it looks like.

That being said could you imagine if this where the new Chevy Trailblazer instead---DOA

Not sure why you think I'm pouting. If it were the other way all the GM fan boys would be complaining.

Oh, I was just having fun. But to answer your question, it is not like I was given access to an LX and an EX-NAV and chose the photograph the LX to make the Pilot look bad. Honda's PR department is the one that decided to release photos of a non-nav vehicle. I have not seen any photos with a nav screen. But if it will make you feel better, if you find one, PM me, and I will substitute it.

Re: The Dirty details on the 2009 Pilot

That interior kind of bugs me for some reason. The materials don't look very high quality, and the aesthetics are a little...bulbous, if you ask me.

I don't personally know why anyone would consider this over the Acadia, Outlook, or Enclave, to be honest.

Re: The Dirty details on the 2009 Pilot

The back is so UN traditional Honda. It looks like a Jeep or something! This CUV is awful inside and out. I anxiously await how the market reacts to this thing...
