cnnmoney reviews the tundra
i dunno how old this is, i didnt see it already posted. cnnmoney reviews the tundra, not a bad one. basically they say its a contender, but its not what toyota is making it out to be. their order goes gm>toyota>ford. theres no mention of dodge.
http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2007/...dra/index.html Toyota's truck could make a big mark Full-sized Tundra is having some early success in the market, but domestic contenders won't be easy to push aside. By By Peter Valdes-Dapena, CNNMoney.com staff writer 1 of 72007 Toyota Tundra CrewMaxThere's someone new in town Price: $47,000 as tested (Base regular cab 2WD truck starts at about $22,000.) Engine and transmission: 381-hp, 5.7-liter V-8 with 6-speed manually-shiftable automatic with two-speed transfer case Fuel economy: 14 mpg city, 18 highway, 15 combined (EPA estimates) Toyota entered the big leagues this year, going head-to-head against full-sized Ford and GM trucks with its redesigned Toyota Tundra pick-up. The Tundra offers a big 5.7-liter V8 engine and really massive 10,100 pound towing capacity. Those numbers are nothing to sneeze at, but they're not the biggest in the class. (Those bragging rights go to the redesigned 2007 GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado.) But the Tundra has Toyota's similarly big reputation for reliability. A truck like this isn't something people want to take a chance with. If you've got a business to run, your truck had better be ready to go every day. Ford and GM have garnered a lot of trust among their buyers, though. And GM's powertrain warranty is longer - in terms of miles, at least - than Toyota's. Ford and GM's loyal buyers aren't going to defect easily. But the Tundra presents a serious challenge to the top two truck sellers in America.

Re: cnnmoney reviews the tundra
I hate to admit it, but the Tundra CrewMax with the short bed and regular cab in the photo in the first post actually looks decent. At least twice as good as the white regular cab long bed that's been floating around.
