Car Rag gets it Wrong Again

http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dl.../70628008/1065

So I'm looking at this short review in Autoweek about the GS350 and remarking on the similarities between the new DI STS V6 when I notice a blurb saying that Caddy forces you into a V8 to get AWD! BS!

Why can't these "professionals" get this crap right. Because they don't want to. They're just giggling when they find something negative to wright about a Detroit manufacturer.

Autoweek is notorious about having content errors.

yeah, something like this is as likely to be a content error (which i've seen plenty of times for brands for Honda to Caddilac and back again) as a "let's intentionally put down GM" issue.

I've seen content errors in these publications before, mostly in the data files after a review or especially in the annuals that show every new car out for a model year (Cadillac's warranty being listed as 3/36 comes to mind).

I also remember a Motor Trend article about 3 yrs ago testing the Silverado 1500 Crew, where they chastised Chevy for only offering ABS on the rear wheels and how they should get w/ the times! Of course that was a fact on Dodge p/u (4-wheel ABS was optional). All GMT-800s had standard 4whl ABS since intro.

In this article they are implying that an AWD GS350 is a better deal because Caddy forces you into a V8 to get AWD which is flat out wrong and unacceptable in journalism.

Re: Car Rag gets it Wrong Again

Just submitted a review letting them know. You would think that these guys would know this stuff considering they are supposed to be car buffs and professionals at the same time. Also, it isn't like the AWD system on the V6 STS is new or something.

Why don't we start somewhere important first, like politics and work our way down to making journalism error-free.

Re: Car Rag gets it Wrong Again

It's interesting that the review that I submitted yesterday is no where to be seen today.
