Re: Can a Mini Van be cool? Yes

That thing is just a little weird looking for me. For me, the Odyssey is by far the sportiest looking van on today's market, although the Astro is still my all time favorite.

Re: Can a Mini Van be cool? Yes

Actually, the Alphard (of which the Vellfire is a sister model) was created after Toyota saw the popularity of Nissan Elgrand, which in turn was built to capitalize on the popularity of the Chevrolet Astro (which was discontinued, because GM would certainly not want to capitalize on the popularity of any of its produce in Japan). All those vehicles are RWD, for the record, and the 2008 Alphard has a more conventional styling than the Vellfire.

They are of course all very "Japanese" in style, but they are certainly less boring than USDM minivans, especially the new Chrysler crop (Flex is kinda interesting though).

I didn't know Damd would do a Suzuki Carry. The result is impressive, though, and the colour is great!

I thought they were front wheel drive.. Guess i'm wrong. Although I'd have to say my all time favorite van brand aside has to be the Toyota.. VAN. Thats right, its called van lmao. 1984 it was available with a refrigerator/icemaker, dual climate control, huge sunroof and front moon roof, captain 2nd row chairs. The thing was luxury at its finest back in the day for a factory van. 86 models came 4wd option with locking hubs. A/T had a regular 4wd, and M/T had a 2spd transfer case.

Re: Can a Mini Van be cool? Yes

The Honda Stepwagon is also very common in Hong Kong.

It's about the size of a Honda Element with a nice van-like proportion. It's less cargo-ly than the Nissan vans and less "grand" than the Toyota Alphard.

The Stepwagon seems to be very popular with the family crowd.

That's a storage box behind the steering wheel. There's also one on the passenger side... and a traditional glovebox as well.

I think it's a decent looking vehicle in person. It's nowhere as offensive as the CR-V's design.
