WOW--do I see some Aztek in the front-end? Way to go Toyota! This is truly bad-ass

Re: Can a Mini Van be cool? Yes

To OP's defense, top pics do show some cool or "bad-ass" factors for a minivan. However, Uzzy eliminated any doubt that it is not in fact a "bad-ass" minivan.

If you think this isn't cool loooking, then you guys are certainly obsessed with your buicks. Every vehicle on earth has its bad angles, but the videos certainly show it has very few of them. And to say the interior is like a matrix, your smoking some very bad stuff. I can say this is a Lexus like interior.

The video, like your initial pictures, show tight shots, many at skewed angles. The whole thing is shot at night. The other more home made ones are also close shots for the most part. Jest as well as nice cars have bad angles, ugly cars have good ones. The picture I showed is the universal standard front 3/4 view...that is how most people look at a car. The grille looks part 2002 Chevy Trailblazer and part...something with too large and bulbous of a chrome grille. The back is too boxy. Some of the shots do put it in a pretty good light, though, but overall I can't say I like it too much. The interior does look good though.

And if you think this is a exterior styling improvement over the Sienna (or anything else for that matter), you are smoking some extra stinky stuff.

Minivan buyers have proven over and over, they don't want cool. They want BORING SAFE APPLIANCE. That "thing" might sell in Japan... It will fail in America.

American Minivan sales are driven predominately by women... trying (way too hard in my opinion) to be cool will not get a positive reception.

Maybe this guy will like it:

But no-one else will.

Re: Can a Mini Van be cool? Yes

Cool might be pushing it but a Mazda 5 with the turbo 4 from the Mazda speed would make a pretty cool little people runner. Good handling, lightweight and 260hp might make for a nice people mover.

Re: Can a Mini Van be cool? Yes

The coolest minivan I've experienced was a Toyota Innova in the Philippines...RWD, turbo diesel, manual trans

I guess a minivan could be cool, but a Astro van would be my pick.

Re: Can a Mini Van be cool? Yes

Chevy Astro Vans are actually VERY popular in Japan. They love them there because, they're practically like full-size vans compared to the narrow JDM vans. Many are actually "hooked up" too!
