Re: Autocar tests the 911GT3 vs M3 and GTR

Liked how he tried to gain some credibility when he admits that BMW's are given a hard time by UK testers, but then goes to bash it without mentioning much positives........

Re: Autocar tests the 911GT3 vs M3 and GTR

Cool vid, did anyone else's video become upside down while watching it???? But yeah, it really shows how good of a car the GTR is. It is nearly on pace iwth a GT3, and almost 3 seconds ahead of the M3(not that the M3 is much of a sports car anymore).

Re: Autocar tests the 911GT3 vs M3 and GTR

Why do they not consinder the Z06 in that test?
Anyways, I think the Nissan is only good becouse of its electronic nannies. I hope Porsche and Corvette do not go that way.
The M3 was never BMW's top dog.. M5 is

^You never have anything good to say about the GT-R, do you! Why all the hate?

Anyway, the GT-r is a fantastic car. At first I hated it but it grew on me.

It's a UK mag so I would believe they are covering cars that would most likely be bought there. M3s and 911s of any flavor will be much more common and on the consumer's radar there as compared to the Z06.

I think its obvious that it'll be different for mags like Road and Track, Car and Driver...

But 8.5 seconds (GT-R) to 100mph? Damn.

I think its a good car, I am just trying to point out an overlooked fact about the car.. Its an eNanny car... It does not really compete with Porsche at the same level, or for that matter the Z06... With total driver involvement...
Its for Video type racing.. where the eNanny does the driving for you

Electronic nannies? You mean the AWD system?

Well then, I think the Z06 is only good because of its big V8. And the Porsche is only good because of its suspension setup and light weight.

See what I did there?

We have officially reached the 19th level of hell.

GT-R is announced. Haters say it will never make it to market.
GT-R makes it to market. Haters say it won't match up against competition.
GT-R beats competition. Haters say it's ugly.
GT-R is not ugly in person. Haters say it will be sold with huge markups.
GT-R is sold at list sometimes, markups at others. Haters say it's only good because of 'e-nannies'.

This is going to go on and on and on and on.

Nope I don't see it, and I am guessing us uneducated huddled masses here at GMi need to be shown.

Care to teach us?

Ah so the great Vladimir comes here to espouse "facts" and tell us how wrong we are, but when you try to get past the slick humor and witty banter you find out there is nothing but a shell of a man.

Nothing to see here ladies and gentleman, move along now.

The car is limited to 111 MPH unless the car knows it is on a Nissan approved track. Then it will let go and go faster.
