2007 Tundra TV Spots: ALL REAL, incl. Cliff

This is from the 'other' forum.
-------------
I know it's nothing new for anyone who knows, but there are a lot of bad mouthing at 'some' forums about these ads being cgi and special effects. Well, Toyota has changed their ad site and now kind of underlining and emphasizing the fact that they are all REAL, ACTUAL DEMONSTRATIONS. As a matter of fact, even some Toyota fans had doubts about the superbowl cliff/ramp ad, possibly because the risks involved in making the ad. Well, now you will see that EVERY FRAME in all TUNDRA TV SPOTS ARE REAL, including the cliff.

http://www.toyota.com/vehicles/minis...ial/index.html

--------------
In the Chevy/GMC 3500 ad where the Chevy pulls a train, there is a small disclaimer that says 'A Fictionalization'. Unlike the Chevy ad, all Tundra ads say "Actual Demonstration".

What is your point Troll?

Fake or real is pointless because it's done nothing for Tundra sales now has it?

In the ramp video, they show the driver hitting the brakes in the last set of hash marks on the track. Check some of the scale pics and you'll see that is only about 20-30 feet from the end. The Tundra may well have performed the feat, but not in the manner they portray it.

Denying what? If it stops so damn good, then why do they require trailer brakes on any trailer weighing more than 1000 lbs? Hell, 2 place snowmobile trailers weigh more than that, when's the last time you saw a snowmobile trailer with brakes?

Maybe it has something to do with that mighty "Triplejunk" frame?

(My GMC does not require trailer brakes, according to the manual/warranty, for any trailers 2000 lbs or under).

Spin away Toyoyo Fanboys!!!

Well, answer me this. Other than the acceleration video, can the Chevy perform all the other stunts?

Of course it can, probably even better. But what will we GM drivers do without that fraction of a second less acceleration, after all, that is such a practical advantage, isn't it? I am sure Corvette owners are really sweating. Hey Toyoyo Fanboys, speaking of Corvettes, what tows more, a Corvette or a Shelby Mustang? Sound stupid? Only about as stupid as 0-60 and 1/4 mile times on a 5000+ lb TRUCK!!!

Re: 2007 Tundra TV Spots: ALL REAL, incl. Cliff

on the pulley video the container weight is 6420 lbs, so if the Tundra is capable of towing 10500 pounds I dont see this as a challenge + that container have a set of cables on the lower part that they dont show them very clear
