2006 Scion tC

I found this on Autoblog.com
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Believe it or not, the 2006s are already hitting dealerships and the Scion tC is due next week. Changes include a new three-spoke steering wheel and redesigned Pioneer head unit. The new head unit includes a mini-jack port in the center console that will allow most portable music players to be connected to the system. An iPod audio upgrade is now available. Two new colors, Classic Silver Metallic and Nautical Blue, are the only exterior changes. Prices increase $200 on all models moving the manual tC to $16,200 and $17,000 equipped with an automatic.

If you can not tell, the redesigned audio head system has a vloume knob!! Better than the previous buttons. And the Scion tC also has audio controls built into the steering wheel. I think this is the best tC yet!

Pretty minor. Steering wheel is a lot nicer, but I still don't really like it.

Re: 2006 Scion tC

Don't much care about it but having the jack input is an awesome feature that should be on every radio! In fact they should offer both the regular headphone style jack and RCA and/or a digital input. Kinda wish my new Cobalt had this so I could get an MP3 harddrive on there.

There wasn't going to be a supercharged model but a supercharger is a dealer-installed option. If it's not there yet, it should probably be there for MY06.

Re: 2006 Scion tC

Nothing to jump for joy over... Overall it looks exactly the same. There isnt really anything wrong with the car, but it does nothing for me at all. Id rather have a Cobalt with the metal trim and the 2.4l engine.

The supercharger is an option on all the Scion models I believe, just like all those factory installs that make the car "unique"...

So lets see. Toyota lied about recalls. Lied about their HP ratings... I wonder how much truth is in their milage ratings..

Literature that I received at a local auto show said "over 200." My guess is that they rate it a hair higher than the Cobalt SS

I believe that I read from somewhere that the supercharger was going to be about or less than $2k.
