    The ecoGM Prequel.

Here's the first in my three green cars for my ecoGM lineup - the Prequel.

The Prequel is a four-door sedan based off of a new E-FLEX platform. It is comparable in size to the new Opel Insignia, but it's a little smaller. Because of the increase in size compared to the Chevrolet Volt, the Prequel targets not the Toyota Prius - but the Honda FCX.

The Prequel (and it's platform-mates, the Sequel and Epilogue) is designed to be able to be produced with one of three powertrains: a hybrid powertrain, an E-REV powertrain, or a fuel cell powertrain.

This has been updated on the ecoGM lineup page which can be found by clicking here.

    And now, may I present...

It may look kind of like a Prius, but the Prius is one of the most aerodynamic cars on the road.

Looks like a Prius or new Honda Insight to me.
IF It's A Chevrolet & RWD, Don't ride in it!!!

ALL Chevy's NEED to be FWD/F-AWD!!!

    If it's a Toyota/Lexus/Scion, Don't ride in/drive it!!

There's only so far you can go when trying to make an aerodynamic shape. I started with the Prius/Clarity shape, then molded it a bit and gave it design similar to the Sequel concepts of 2005/2006.

Does anyone have coefficient of drag stats for the Chevrolet Volt? If the Cd on the Volt is lower than the Prius, I'll gladly take the design and meld it into a more Volt-like shape.

Well, did some reading and found out that Gm reduced the cd 30 percent from the concept's rating of .42, so the volt would have a cd of .29. However, Gm is tight lipped on the final number, and I keep seeing .26-.29 for the Prius, so I hope GM has gone futher, because they claim to have a lower cd than both.
