Yes, I didn't realise that until the guy (in the link provided) explained what he'd done. Here's his post.

But, its not real, just a fancy photoshop from me lol thought it would be interesting to see comments outside of a thread where people knew it was shopped from the start.

-The base image is an Aston Martin DBS 'Carbon Editon

-The upper grill and lights are from Fords 'Evos' Concept

-The lower grill and foglamps are from the current Taurus SHO

I was brain storming myself the other night about what direction the Mustang could go, using current ford design traits. And Take into account mustang design cues etc.

I think the Mustang chop w/the rear hip/rump looks nice!

If GM had some guts, they'd revive Pontiac & do right by it.

RWD across the line up w/R-AWD optional for some models! Aggressive styling! Outstanding performance!

nice chop, very well done! Mustang's classic front end cues are nicely integrated into the shape. The Aston was a good starting point, and the Evos/SVO bits work very nicely.

I've tried a '14-'15 Mustang myself, based on a photograph of the Evos:

It's a nice effort, but man I hope it doesn't look like that. The sides almost look BMW 1 series ish (long and kinda eh) and the back end has too much Lotus in it for me. I like the chop that started the thread much better.

Now the 2015 Mustang needs to have that front end.

Lovely rendering, very impressive. However I cant get over the feeling that the reason for this rendering is because the upcoming 2013 Mustang redesign is somewhat tame? Still I see a little of the upcoming Fusion in that front fascia, which can be a cause for concern.

I find it sad that some people wish for GM to fail and can't comprehend any good news. A plausible explanation for this kind of behavior is that you have a miserable life so you wish the same to others. Cory Pham, Autoblog Poster

GM must return its divisions to being interdependent entities within the corporation. Decentralize and free the different divisions talents to foster brand differentiation and customer loyalty.

That roof line/pillar arrangement/rear deck reminds me too much of this:

they do. Ford has Powershifts up to super duty levels. They are just releasing them little by little to learn from their experiences for the higher level units.

True, but they really need a new design language to exploit for all its worth.

    Re: "2015 Mustang" rendering.

I have learned from a reliable source, the first chopped image is close... the grille is almost there, and some other details as well, but the overall shape of the car will remain like the current Mustang.

Present Rides: 1996 Buick Riviera 155,500 Miles
Past Rides: 1995 Pontiac Trans Sport 210,000 Miles

    Buick, The American Riviera.

8-13-2011 was the day my life changed forever.
