That looks sharp - I like that you straightened out the rear character line.
Nice car. I knew these would come. But the Monte needs to be more stylish... more upscale looking, IMO.
Unlikely Epsilon based with the gas tank filler on the left side
imho that looks VERY upscale (if you'll forgive the expression: a bit like Mercedes before their Mazda-envy turned them into Minnie Pearl ... no offense to Ms. Pearl's fans)
ONLY thing I'm not crazy about are the trunk & hood cutlines (dang you C.Bungle!)
would *love* to see a front - or even just describe your thoughts, RR
re: EV styling"...like a bunch of 1960's Citroen designers would do given LSD and a room full of Pokemon....in a good sort of way"
where are the famous monte side curves.......................its just not a monte with out the curves. see the 73 to 77 and78 to 80 montes.
It screams Camaro to me.
looks like an Audi A5 to me.
June 9 2010: I saw the new Buick Regal...and it was beautiful
I say change the taillights to vertical & move the trunk separation lines so the match the edge of the rear window down, instead over the side as it is in your chop & on the 2014 Impala. Which of anything about the exterior is the most distasteful & terrible aesthetic.
IF It's A Chevrolet & RWD, Don't ride in it!!!
ALL Chevy's NEED to be FWD/F-AWD!!!
If it's a Toyota/Lexus/Scion, Don't ride in/drive it!!
Overall nice but doesn't look like one at first glance.
IMO I do like the side lower mold fascia with the MONTE CARLO SS subtle
C pillar gone Awesome. A very luxury feel.
Rear rotors fill very nicely.
IMO Tail lights no go keep it a solid piece of lens 2000-2007 the rectangled look is 7 out of 10 Take the body out. Think of the aftermarket and enthusiast.
Give a little more height at the end of the lip of the spoiler from the picture it looks stubby. Looks to much like the older surfboard styles.
Bottom of the body fascia's front to back are even until the rear bumper that seems to be a few inches shy.
Bring back the EMBLEM SCRIPT. I am Proud of it and you should too.
Exhaust cut-out Single instead of the piece in the middle to appear as a dual, unless needed for structural.
This is all I have on the exterior rear driver side view.
I hope the engine starts at 325hp SS 375HP
RWD or still FWD???
Interior??? I only can hope until I see more.
This is my first look at it. GM you have time to make it more.
ATTENTION GM Please put your car on the Monte Carlo forums that are out there let the enthusiast from new to old give their feedback.
if its FWD no, if RWD yes....
IF IT AINT RWD; AND A CHEVY I DONT RIDE IT!!!!!
ALL CHEVY'S NEED TO BE RWD!!!!!
To me, the essence of the Monte Carlo is a long hood, short deck and a formal roofline. The best remembered Montes have this ... This chop has almost the opposite proportions. With a longer wheelbase (it looks a bit stumpy) this would be quite attractive; it just doesn't scream 'Monte Carlo' to me. It's an Impala coupe -- nothing wrong with that!
