what the hell now

i havent been able to make a post for the past three months. every time i do, im not taken to the usual "view your post" page, but a blank white page that says nothing. when i refresh my browser it says something to the effect of "error loading page." when i go back, my post is gone. when i hit refresh again, still nothing. this happens in both firefox and ie. what the hells going on?

Re: what the hell now

A lot of my posts end up on a blank screen after I hit "post."
It happens about 80% of the time for me. The post is always there. I always have to hit "Stop" and then reload... but that doesn't always work either. I just hit back... and then refresh... then I either get to the post... or I get "server Busy."

Re: what the hell now

I believe it is an issue with Firefox and the new vBulletin. It happens to me, but as far as I know the post always shows up.

Re: what the hell now

neither of these two posts would have shown up had i not copied my original post and pasted it and ran it through again. this has been happening for awhile but i never got upset. earlier today i wrote up an opus on pittsburgh sports and lost it. like i said, happened to me with ie as well.

Then why does it do the same thing in IE? It also does it in Linux so its not a Vista/Xp issue.

I find that hard to believe, I frequent another vbulletin board, which is running the exact same version of vbulletin and get no such issues.

Hmmm, I don't have any of these problems. Lucky me.

But I get "internal server error" on my beloved globalautoindex.com. I'm having fits since my tech-savvy son sent went off to college.

Re: what the hell now

I run IE on XP and have gotten a lot of Server to Busy - Try again Later messages but I haven't had any problems with this blank screen thing you are talking about.

Good luck getting it resolved.

Nice one HR.

I'm with NSAP, my posts go to the white screen most of the time but they always show up. I am running XP, Firefox.

Possible that it's an issue with your computer? I have been much busier for the past few months with a newborn at home, but I seem to have noticed that GMI hasn't ground to a halt and that nobody was able to post. Just saying.
