Re: Stupid Avatar Rule!!

No animated avatars is a good rule. I really do not want my computer wasting time downloading and drawing people's animated avatars. I'd like to save our CPUs and graphics cards for important things, okay?

Your previous one is still up because it was probably made before the rule was put into effect.

Yours is a small one which I, personally, wouldn't mind. But it would get out of control if animated avatars were allowed. On other boards I've seen too many Bart Simpson cartoons in peeple's avatars - we don't need that.

Re: Stupid Avatar Rule!!

Then put a limit on how many KB it can have. Like under 20KB.

I thought there was Avatars grandfathered in....I could not upload my Avatar that is not much of a animated one...then again there are massive Signatures...kinda ironic...

Massive signatures? Where? We have it set so that no one can upload any images into their signature that surpass 100X500 pixels.

It's not unusal that a forum allow banners in signatures, it just a thing forums are known to have. The standard banner size is 100 X 500.

Re: Stupid Avatar Rule!!

Flashing/animated Avatars are distracting and really don't add much to the sites.
