Search Permanently Disabled?

I have been trying to do searches for a couple of days now. Is the server overloaded or did I exceed a limit?

Re: Search Permanently Disabled?

Simply overload. The worst times I have found are to be around 12 and after 5pm.

Re: Search Permanently Disabled?

You must come at the wrong times.

When there are over 450 people on the server things start to go to ****.

Re: Search Permanently Disabled?

Search will likely be off more than on until we get a new server. A new server is in the works now...hopefully we'll have one soon.

Re: Search Permanently Disabled?

Ok thanks. I have 3 boys under 6 and no sleep. The only way I can keep up on replys to posts is to search for 'psece' for posts from the last week.

Re: Search Permanently Disabled?

Just wait till mid January. My favourite feature is "New Posts" which will pretty much be disabled once mid January arrives . Just gotta live with it for now.

Like nsap said, maybe soon all the disabled features due to high load will be back .

Re: Search Permanently Disabled?

I live in CA and I find that the search function is very spotty during the day but tends to work more often after dinner, when all the east-coasters are in bed.

Re: Search Permanently Disabled?

I think the worst time is around lunch time since a lot of people are taking a break from work. Otherwise I have had pretty good luck with the new posts feature.

Re: Search Permanently Disabled?

I am up early in the morning and that is an excellent time in which to do anything here.
