Platform Guide Updates?

I was just wondering if anyone planned to do a comprehensive updating of the Platform Guide anytime in the near future? I do enjoy reading through there, but didn't really notice the 'Last Updated' part until I saw that the GMT-800 was still up....

Re: Platform Guide Updates?

Gamma and GM DAT platforms are missing too, as well as the GM2700/3000 (Astra/Zafira). Also, non-North American engines and plants aren't covered by respective guides.

Platform Guide will likely be updated sometime after Christmas.

The European engines/transmissions will not be on our guides until GM obtains better information on them on their end.

Re: Platform Guide Updates?

Pardon? GM surely has very good information on the engines they make...

PS. I guess I sounded harsh - the guides are excellent, I just b expressed my secret wishes in a far too blunt way...

Compared to the GMNA side, their information is a pain to find. It's scattered everywhere unless I'm missing something.

GM Powertrain has every engine and transmission used in North America on one sector of the Media website. That works out excellent for making those guides.

Re: Platform Guide Updates?

Well, I didn't know that. If so, I guess the guide is not that important as the "other engines" guide. Please tell me what you need and I will try to supply you with whatever I can find...

I am more than willing to add all of GM's global engines to the guide, but I just don't have the time to sort through every press release on Opel's media site looking for them.

I need a photo, HP numbers, torque numbers, assembly site, applications, and any features (unusual, or notable) on each engine.
