page2ad.googlesyndication.com 52 second load

Site Admin - Please delete the page2ad.googlesyndication.com load. It takes an additional 52 seconds to load between page refreshes.

Yeah. That has been happening quite a bit lately.

Re: page2ad.googlesyndication.com 52 second load

I haven't noticed it lately (I haven't been around as often though), but I have seen this several times before.

Basically, I think the page can't fully load until every element - including ads - are loaded. Since the ads are on a separate server (Google's), if that server is slow, that means the page can't fully load because the ad isn't loading.

I used to notice something similar from Rex Raider's sub300.com banner ads - ads for his computer company were sitting on his domain, and sometimes his site would be the holdup when loading the GMI pages. I haven't seen the sub300 problem in years, though.

Does anybody give a damn about this site?

Quit pointing fingers and fix the page reload sequence. It's a quick fix!

Yeah, the google-analytics issue is really beginning to bug.
Site performance has been quite inconsistent for seemingly months.
