In Need of a Design Contest Moderator

I have noticed that nothing is really happening with the design contests any more. I had given a helping hand by creating a few threads for posting designs, however I was still under the impression that a moderator would be taking care of things.

IE:
-Starting the registration threads and marking them as stickies
-Changing the name of the registration threads to voting threads when the time came
-Tallying the votes and closing the voting threads when the voting came to an end
-Announcing the winners
-Announcing opening and voting portion of a contest in the site news section
-Creating the new "sub-forum", determining and announcing the new contest subject
-Sending the entry voting thread to the user talent section when the next contest comes into play, and deleting the old "sub-forum" .

It was a great thing to participate in, and I would love to see them to begin moving again. I understand it is a lot of work to be in charge of it, I'm not sure that I do have all of the time for it, however, if there is nobody else that wants the job, I might consider being in charge of it.

We just needs somebody that is able to do all of the above so that we can once again have a functioning contest.

I'd been meaning to do this for a while and then forgot. GrandPrix08 just PMed me asking when the voting was going to begin. Made me remember that I was waiting to see if anything was going to happen with the contests.

Unfortunately, I wound up forgetting all about the contests until this evening.

Yes. I've wondered about this for quite some time. I kinda miss the contests.

Can we get an "ok, we've at least looked at this thread" from somebody? I would think that in this section, Mods would be on top of everything...

Something needs to be done again. Sitting stale for months.

I don't mean to be an a-hole, or ever to sound mean, but obviously, rex doesn't have the time to do this sort of thing, can we please transfer these responsibilities to somebody else?

cool. I apologize for being so into this, however, I really did enjoy the design contests, and I started to hear others complaining.
