Mobile version of GMI?

Hello all, I really like most of the changes that have happened lately on the site.
I was wondering, however, if there were any plans for a mobile version of the site. I love looking at this while i work but it takes forever to load on my Treo and my Tilt. Autoblog has a mobile version, as well as C&D and many other sites. What are the odds of GMI developing one?
just curious, thanks and keep up the good work everyone!

Hmmm... That's an interesting question... I don't know.... Hmmm

People here use iPhone to access GMI from time to time. Seems to work OK.

iPhone really isn't a normal mobile device. It's browser renders almost like a standard browser on a computer. A true mobile site has minimal graphics and is made for a small portrait screen. I really don't see how this site could be made to enable usage on a mobile platform. It is just too graphics intensive and it's interface would be hard to use.

There are many WAP skins for vBulletin. We use to have one on GMI.

Use Opera Mini, it shows GMI just like it does on a desktop PC.

Re: Mobile version of GMI?

Interesting - it was very difficult to navigate the site when I had my BlackBerry, but I do not have one at the moment as I have changed jobs. I was just using the standard browser, so maybe I can get a different browser for my new one.
