Misdirection/Hijacking??

I don't know whether this is an isolated problem, with just me, or anyone else has experienced this.......but whenever I enter 'www.gminsidenews.com' in Firefox's address bar.......I'm redirected to 'Quantcast' (an internet ratings site) instead.......am taken to the same site as well, when I click on the GMI icon in the top left hand corner of the screen....

That's my bad here.........just did a quick spyware scan and now all is well.....gotta reevaluate my spyware options here so this doesn't happen again.

I'm not having that problem, but what is happening with me is once I click on gminsidenews, it starts to load, then, the screen goes blank and reloads and says img. autoforums at the bottom of my browser. That started recently. When that happens, I can read the forums, but I CANNOT respond to any messages with Netscape. It will not let me type anything. I have to open Safari to reply. This is a new problem.

A few weeks back, I STOPPED getting the INSTANT notifications to my subscribed forums. One of the moderators here said there was no such thing as instant notification because that would bog down the server and that "instant" notifications were delivered during the overnight hours. A tech here asked me for an alternate e-mail address to test my subscription notices. That did work, but it's an e-mail address that I rarely check, so I switched it back to my original e-mail. Everything works fine for some unknown reason and my INSTANT notifications are back -coming within minutes of a new posting. I think the problems are all on gminsidenews side because I have changed NOTHING on my end to create any of these "problems".

Re: Misdirection/Hijacking??

Glad things are back to normal.

I don't know how people live with spyware and the software needed to keeps things kosher. Blech!
