"Instant" e-mail notification

Am I the only one not receiving "instant e-mail" notification to my subscribed threads?

I don't believe any vBulletin forum provides instant e-mail notification. I'm a member at a cell phone website that uses the same software, and they only send subscription notices at night as well. Nothing we can do about it...

I'm only using the words in my user control panel. I get NO e-mail notices to any new messages in my subscribed threads like I used to get. Am I asking the wrong question? Isn't that what is supposed to happen when you SUBSCRIBE to a topic here?

Now I'm really confused as to what YOU are saying.

In order to keep unneccessary server load down, I believe the software waits until the middle of the night to send subscription E-Mails out. They are not instant and I don't know why they mislead by saying they are.

I understand what you are saying about server load and e-mails in the middle of the night, but I'm saying that I DON'T get ANY e-mails even though there are NEW messages in my subscribed threads.

Who do you get your E-Mail through (AOL, GMail, etc)?

I have ALWAYS used Netscape e-mail with my Mac and ATT as my DSL service provider! It is only RECENTLY that these e-mail notices have STOPPED! I do NOT have you blocked in my junk e-mail, so I have NO clue what happened. The only thing that changed on your end was your new look and a new "owner"? NOTHING has changed on this end.

Update- I did receive ONE e-mail notification this morning to ONE of my subscribed threads. I think the problem is on YOUR end and not mine!

I don't know what to tell you dude. This is the first I have heard of such an issue, maybe one of the technical admins can answer this...
