Re: Vauxhall Astra VXR video(TOP GEAR)
As I said in another forum Top gear will lie about times and will dramatize some of their films. They did it with the Corvette also. They acted like it could not stay on the track and they got slower times than most others. In the Astra it looked like they were gunning the gas around the curves. Any FWD car will perform like that if you gun it in a curve.

Re: Vauxhall Astra VXR video(TOP GEAR)
^^ I do agree, they exaggerate sometimes.
However, there is far more likelihood of your face being ripped off by torquesteer in the Astra than there is in a more rounded hot hatch such as the GTi. ST vs VXR vs GTi? No contest - ST every time. |

Re: Vauxhall Astra VXR video(TOP GEAR)
Sometimes his analogies are hilarious. It's at the point when FWD has a tough time with the power, no surprise there. It takes a lot of work to compensate for it.
