Suicide Attempt by Fired GM Daewoo Employee Injures 24 Workers

JEONJU, South Korea, Feb. 25 (Yonhap) -- A former contract worker of GM Daewoo Auto and Technology Co. set himself on fire at the U.S.-owned automaker's maintenance shop here Friday, injuring himself and 24 workers, police said.

The 49-year-old former GM Daewoo worker, identified only by his family name Kang, doused himself with paint thinner at a union office of the company maintenance shop in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, about 245 kilometers south of Seoul, police said.

WTF . Killing yourself isn't the answer. Certainly if you try and take others with you.

Doesn't he know the role of the Human Torch has already been filled and that the Fantastic Four movie has already been made?

Maybe the paint thinner got him high, and he decided to light himself on FIRE.

Question Re: Suicide Attempt by Fired GM Daewoo Employee Injures 24 Workers

Why is it when you read stories like this the nutbag always takes innocent people with him? Why don't they just jump off a bridge at night all by themselves.

My own little list of the worst kinds of humans:
1. Rapists
2. Child molesters
3. Jackasses who get other people hurt in their own half-witted attempts to kill themselves
4. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures
5. and the Dutch

How do we know he tried to take people with him? He was on fire. I'm sure he was running all over the place freaking out. It may not have been his intention to hurt anyone else...

He probably didn't intend to hurt anyone, but he should have had the foresight to realize that people in the immediate area may be in danger when you set youreself on FIRE!!!
Its' like the A-hole who parked his Jeep on the Metrolink tracks (that's here in SoCal for those who don't know) to Harrie-Carrie. Then he lost his nerve, bailed, and ended up killing dozens of people when the train derailed. I'd say they should give him the death penalty, but that wouldn't be much punishment (ahhh...sweet, sweet irony). I don't want to see anyone commite suicide, but if you're gonna, take some consideration for others who appreciate God's gift.

For some reason that quote reminds me of something Dennis Miller would say.

Re: Suicide Attempt by Fired GM Daewoo Employee Injures 24 Workers

While the better part of my mind tells me its wrong to find enjoyment out of this I cant for the life of me understand why this guy thought that burning himself to death would be a good idea... Yeah, Ive heard that after the first minute your body goes into shock, but I cant imagine anything before that feeling good. Quite mind boggling as to why he choose that way to go... I would have ate big macs till my heart stopped or something like that. But hey, thats me

So lets see. Toyota lied about recalls. Lied about their HP ratings... I wonder how much truth is in their milage ratings..
