Silly Saab Commercials
Well, tonight watching "Alias," I stumbled upon 2 of Saabs new commercials.
Umm... talk about underwhelming. I know they are trying to get across the point that they are different and all... but really.... SHOW THE CAR!!! ![]() I posted 2 of those silly commercials.... The Dress Suitcases You'll need QuickTime to view them. The files are about 1MB each.

Re: Silly Saab Commercials
The reason Infiniti is not doing nearly as well as Lexus these days is because when they both first came out in 1990, Infiniti neglected to show their cars in any of their ads.
This kind of ad does not work. I'm sure there are people out there that don't know what "Saab" is. Flashing a logo isn't going to make people run out to a car dealership. Sorry GM, you missed the boat on this one.

Re: Silly Saab Commercials
Yeah, I saw both too and I thought they forgot to finish the commercials...
Must be some 'avende garde" Madison Avenue gazillion dollar ad agency's big idea.

Re: Silly Saab Commercials
Dumbest ad I've seen in awhile. And what kind of slogan is "Maintain your identity?" If anything, Saab is losing their TRUE identity with the 9-2X and 9-7X.

Re: Silly Saab Commercials
Ya, really sad... but Saab isn't the only company with bad commercials these days... anyone seen Master Card (I think it's them...) where it's about some surfer who tells about his life then at the very end it says "Take your Master Card where ever you travel" or somethin like that?
Or the new Coke commercial about "Break Out" or somethin like that... etc... etc... etc... some really bad commercials. But I agree, those 2 are bad...

Lame!
Want to see some good Saab commercials? http://www.lowebrindfors.se/mov/2005...r_Trail_T1.mov Now that's pretty cool... even though it makes the car look like it has a bad headgasket ;>... "Born of jetplanes"...
