Question Saab Question

Anyone ever hear of a (BSR) horsepower option for a Saab Aero? I was on a website that mentioned it. I never heard of it. Feel free to enlighten me.

Re: Saab Question

BSR is a big Swedish tuning company: www.bsrab.se
Their last fame was tuning of Koenigsegg CCR.

You are safe to use stage1 but I would not go futher with BSR. Mainly because of old scandal concerning safety parameters that were removed.

And that stege1 makes a BIG difference and a BIG smile. With BSR you can always put original softaware back in, to fool service.

There is of course very good alternative: www.maptun.com

If money is no obstacle, go for www.hirsch-performance.ch/index_e.htm (they might refuse to send engine tuning material to the USA so you have to be clever)

Isn't Hirsh the only one authorized by Saab though? And doesn't invalidate the warranty, etc.?

Re: Saab Question

Hirsch is only official, they have full cooperation and of course warranty.

You have to think it a bit same way as M or AMG of Saab.
It was launched somewhere 2002.

They offer a lot more than just more power. Everything from seats to stunning wheels.

So if you have the money, Saab is far from under dog when it comes to performance in Europe.

There is a unkown glitch that has so far prevented Hirsch to launch in the USA. At least as far as I know of. So I think in reality you have no warranty there, thus they wont send any engine related material there.

I know!! I was contacted by Saab way back when about my interest in the Hirsch performance options. I said I would be extremely interested in it. And nothing happened.

I'm still waiting.
