Saab 9-7x MCE?

Hey I'm just picking yalls brains about the 9-7x. I was wondering if we have heard anything about a refresh for car? (mostly in the interior is what I'm concered with) I really like the exterior of the 9-7x, but the old school Trailblazer HVAC controls and steering wheel need to go. My sister checked it out at the auto show and really like the vehicle, I would just hate to get one and then the next year a all new interior comes out. And with GM's interiors becoming amazing, I'd want my sister to have the amazing interior.

Thanks

Re: Saab 9-7x MCE?

yeh the 9-7x has a great overall look but the control buttons scream trailblazer in my opinion. i love the seats and the styling of the vehicle they just need to put a new transmission in which i know its not possible yet.

i have not heard about a 9-7x refresh but would they when the 9-4x is not to far away.

i would suggest to your sister to get a 06 9-7x as many dealerships still have a lot of them, mine has 4 and they are discounted heavily and they want them off their lots.

Re: Saab 9-7x MCE?

I very much like the 9-7x, and have been thinking of buying one for quite some time. In my opinion an update of either the exterior or interior is unlikely, given the money already spent to differentiate it from the other 360s and its relatively small sales numbers. Possibly some new exterior colour choices, and maybe a new wheel option.

I personally would love to see a 5L50 transmission, removal of its out of place radio antenna, rear parking assist and side mirrors with flashing LEDs as opposed to those hideous orange lightbulbs.

Re: Saab 9-7x MCE?

Don't expect anything like a refresh. Maybe a different trim level but that's about it before it goes bye-bye. The GMT 360 platform is on its way out while the new Lambda crossover platform takes over. If anything, the next step for the 9-7x is a switch to the new platform in 4-5 years. By then, it may not be called the 9-7x or look even remotely similar.

I wouldn't expect a refresh at all.
I'd expect 9-7X to be dead in 2 years or so... when 9-4X arrives.

will it last that long? I thought the MY07 9-7x was the last year, whichever it is it is unfortunate, It is the best looking out of all of the 360 SUV's IMO.

I dunno. But 9-7X continues to sell well. As to why it sells well? You got me. But it does.
THe most unfortunate thing is that the 9-7X never got the TBlazer SS's engine. That would have been awesome -- 9-7X Aero.

Re: Saab 9-7x MCE?

I've thought about the 9-4x and if done right could be a great little SUV. But it will be smaller than the 9-7x right? Thats not really a bad thing for my sister.

I just really like the color scheme of the 9-7x. Black with white stitching, dark warm wood and a creme color. All of that happening on the door panels, just looks great.

I still think they should offer it as a limited edition model, say 500 a year for the next two years. You could sell that many 9-7X Aero's.

I have always hated this overpriced Chevrolet. The 9-4 can't get here fast enough. This vehicle was the ULTIMATE GM rebadge of all time. (Yes I have test driven one, it's an overpriced Chevy).

But is sells, and at the end of the day that means more than your opinion.

Re: Saab 9-7x MCE?

Actually most people say the Trailblazer and 9-7x are whole different animals, in driving dynamics.

Yeh right now we are looking at the ML 350 (jesus, this car can get expensive) and the 9-7x. I'm holding out for the 9-4x, can we please get a debut this year at Geneva or something.

The Ranier is the same way, my uncle bought a new Rainer and it listed at almost $40,000 with no Nav system, and it is nowhere near the looker the 9-7x is. I would take the 9-7x over the Ranier anyday
