Ordered a 2007 Saab 9-3 Aero

Went to my Saab Dealer today and ordered a 2007 9-3 Aero with the Cold Weather Package, Touring Package, and OnStar. The car will be Jet Black Metallic on the outside and Grey on the inside.

Since my dealer already ordered their first months allocation of 2007's I have to wait until October to take delivery of the vehicle! So now I patiently await the arrival of my new car.

Pictures will go up in October when I get it!

Unless those ordered cars have already been built (which I doubt), the dealer can change any one of them to your sold order...no reason why they should make you wait until October.

Sounds nice, though.

Re: Ordered a 2007 Saab 9-3 Areo

What's an Areo? Any relation to the Aveo?

That will be a nice car. I was never a Saab fan back in their quirky days with the upright, rounded windshield, but have always liked the 9-3 sedan best. It has a nice, clean style to it. The design has aged well, IMO.

Its because the plants in Europe shut down for Summer.

She tried to (I watched her navigate the order system) but for some reason it would not let her change the transmissions. It said in the system "sent to production"

Yea it is, but a bit of switching is going on. My fathers '05 GMC Envoy goes back in December, so we are going to turn that in when I pick up the Saab via whatever "Lease Pull Ahead" program they offer in early October. At that point my father will be driving the '04 Malibu until early Feburary when its lease ends. He wants to drive a higher MPG car so that's why he is "trading down" to my Malibu from his Envoy for the 4 months. After that I think he's driving my mom's old car (an '01 Alero, she now has an '04 530i), I can see that lasting at most 6 months. So by this time next year my dad will probably get a new car.

Confusing isn't it!

Wow awesome man. I'd love one of those. Did you consider the SportCombi, or did you really want a sedan?

I looked at the Combi, but I am more of a Sedan Guy.
