Re: Next Suzuki Aerio?

Here is the current Aerio interior...definatly looks like this will be the next gen since the interior seems unchanged:

Platform should be same anyways as the 02 Aerio was first car built on it. From the looks of the front...looks like it caries the new Suzuki look like that on the Grand Vitara...

Might get interesting as it's going back to a 2.0.....perhaps a Supercharged varient like that on the Concept Aerio that debut in 2000 auto show or maybe a Turbo?

Re: Next Suzuki Aerio?

Man that's a really striking profile. Love the swoop of the side windows and the cool body line ahead of the side mirrors. That front quarter window is really cool too. That'd make a nice Vibe update, actually! Even the very rear side windows are cool. What an origianl look for a little wagon! If they build this it'll be my next car.

I like the current Aerio better.

Those gauges look familiar to me.

Yes, that is the current interior. The interior of both the Aerio and the Vitara were redone for 05 model year if I recall correctly. Was much needed and turned out nicely.

From what I heard...the reason that there is no AWD Manual Aerio is because the engine and drivetrain won't fit. The rest of the world gets 1.3 and 1.5s? While here in NA we get the 2.0 and now the 2.3.......so aparrantly only matches up and fits as an auto. Maybe they found a way for the 2.0 to fit...could be another reason to go back to a smaller engine.

Aerios always had that issue, where the factory 15s look like 13s.....it's due to the tall body. It also doesn't help that the highest size someone has fit on an Aerio are 18's and even then there is some rubbing. Small wheel wells

Re: Next Suzuki Aerio?

The looks hot. The front face looks a bit like the new Vitara (Escudo) SUV. Looks like a bit of Scion xA style.

Re: Next Suzuki Aerio?

Hey SonicAerio... be on the lookout for more pics! I'd love to see other shots of this car, and in different colours and with bigger tires. Imagine that in black, with a deep tint and little rooftop spoiler on back and some low-profile rims... man that'd be one hot hatch!

Re: Next Suzuki Aerio?

It appears to be smaller than the current Aerio.

By any chance, could it be the replacement of the smaller Suzuki Ignis?
