Exclamation New 9-5 for MY2007

I went to the Saab dealer to day to look at some 9-3 colors, and I was talking to the salesman and he said the new 9-5 should be here for MY2007, and it might have AWD. I asked him what platform it was on, but he didn't know. He didn't even believe that the G6 was on Epsilon lol. Anyhow, Saab looks to be getting along okay now, actually :

9-5
9-6 (Tribeca)
9-3 Wagon

i hope they can get this one right, for Saab's sake.. a LWB epsilon w/ AWD, a choice of light and storng turbo V-6's... priced under the main (audi and volvo) competiton... they might be able to survive.

I wish they would BE like Volvo. S60's are so popular. My dad got an S60R, he would have gotten STS but V6 AWD isn't here.

He'll only buy American. .

Owned by Ford. The Brand 'identity' is Swedish, but buying one helps Ford.

Not only LWB, but the 9-5 HAS to be wider. Epsilons as they stand right now are tiny compared to the existing 9-5. And even the Extended wheelbase Epsilons have insufficient rear legroom when compared to 9-5.

So unless Epsilon II can be stretched in all directions, Saab might be better off waiting for Chi.... or use Chi as an even larger 9-8 or something.

Speaking of tight legroom, the Cobalt sedan is TIGHT! I guess thats with all comapcts, because lowroofline means low seat, but ****************it its uncomfortable. I guess thats why you buy an Aveo.

Re: New 9-5 for MY2007

Hell no way for MY2007.
-improved 9-5 comes this fall
-EP2 is not ready untill MY2008, and EP2+ (or what ever you call it) who knows when.

But there sure will be awd option for those who want it.
This is Saab's latest awd patent claim:
