Re: My/Your Ideal Suzuki Lineup

I actuall ylike both Reno and Rio names - they fit in nicely with their respective brands, and with the cars themselves. Jive just does not sound good for me for this kind of car - perhaps something like Honda Jazz or Daihatsu Copen could be named Jive...

I wish to see the European Swift coming here, while the current Swift+ here could be renamed "Forsa"

The Verona line-up could be expanded with a 2-door coupe and station-wagon, add also a diesel engine as an option

Rio to me brings up a cheap, awkward Kia... Reno is a fine name, but to me it just reminds me to much of the Rio, and I already told you what that reminds me of... that's me though...

Re: My/Your Ideal Suzuki Lineup

Moved the Aerio to the Kappa and turned it into a youthful, hip, tech-packed performance coupe who's top price doesn't exceed $20,000

I'll have to check into that, never seen that one... and feel free to create your own if you want... everything is 100% up to you.

Re: My/Your Ideal Suzuki Lineup

Why would you base a Grand Vitara on the Equinox? GV's most important feature are its actual off-road capabilities. It beats the RAV4 et al. hands down. It's a very competent vehicle now, I wouldn't replace it with something car-based.

As concerns the Aerio, I doubt it whether you can make anything Kappa-based at $13K.

I understand the lack of most international Suzuki models here means that it's the US Suzuki lineup. Given Suzuki's relatively modest distribution network in US, I believe most of these Hyundai/Kia/Toyota/Honda/other-budget-brands-fighters that appeal to young people and families would be better off at Chevrolet's.

Re: My/Your Ideal Suzuki Lineup

A general question regarding Suzuki, has GM established what sort of company Suzuki is (meaning what market they are going for, who they're competing with?). I imagine they compete with Hyundai or Mazda.

Oh, have they? I imagine they are completely different in different markets, having a unique image or no image at all at the same time... They used to be the small car specialist, but who isn't nowadays?

Re: My/Your Ideal Suzuki Lineup

After months of speculation, Suzuki confirmed this Tuesday at the Geneva auto show in Switzerland that it will step up to the World Rally Championship in 2007
