My/Your Ideal Hummer Lineup (Update 1)
Post your ideal lineup in here!
Alright, here's my ideal Hummer lineup guys! *applauds self* (lol) H1 $92,000-$103,000 Maybe a few minor revisions on exterior design, and change up the interior design.. keep it 'rough n tough' as well as something you wouldn't be afraid to get really dirty, and make sure it is strong, durable, high-quality material (no chrome, no wood trim, no cheap plastics), and maybe some engineering changes to make it even better of an off-roader... Offers Hummer/Humvee/Truck body styles. Alpha version should be nothing more than a 'serious' civilian version - offering the tower-style exhaust, thicker-gauge bullet-proof metal and glass, beefier suspension, etc... H2 $55,000-$66,000 Minor exterior changes, major interior revision (as seem on H1), and huge engineering revision so that it is a much better off-roader than it currently is and doesn't get "pounded" by the H3, which is hear as a more capable off-roader from M/T or C/D, one of those two who were invited to test it on the Rub'. Offers Hummer/Humvee/Truck body styles. Alpha version as seen above. H3 $36,000-$45,000 Well, I'm not sure of it's exact size or anything, so I'll just say this... extremely capable off-roader that makes Jeep and Rover drivers go running home crying to their mommies that they got beat on the trail! Basically, typical Hummer style. Also, see H1 for interior. Offers Hummer/Humvee/Truck body styles. Alpha version as seen above. HX $18,000-$27,000 A Wranger-style Hummer. Offers the soft top and hard top options. No extended version like the Wranger has begun to offer. Something that, stock, would completely destroy even the beefiest of the Wranger crawlers and off-roaders. See H1 for interior. Alpha version as seen above. Keep all Hummers with a varient of the H1 design (the H2 is to soft and on-roadish!) Re: My Ideal Hummer Lineup
...it was only a matter of time, haha. I think GM is right on already with this lineup. Eventually the new H2 will come out and I believe your "H4" is going to be called "HT". That was the last I heard, I think "H4" would make people roll their eyes.

Re: My Ideal Hummer Lineup
Personally I would also throw in the H3T, They had the concept out last year but I have no doubt that a midsize truck would sell well in the H3's lower price bracket with the solid Hummer brand image.

Re: My Ideal Hummer Lineup
How about an H5 Urban Sedan?? Based on a modified Zeta with standard AWD and supercharged 5.3L V8 at 400HP selling for $40K?? And an Alpha with a V10 at 500HP selling for $50K? I'm not talking the refinement of a Cadillac..... but sheer brute force horsepower... plain and simple.
Personally, I think the HUMMER design philosophy would translate very well into sedan form. So much for the 300C. ![]()

I would have to disagree. Hummer's got a lot of brand cachet and can probably draw a lot of customers with a big ol' sedan. The big bedan wouldn't fit in Chevy's line up or Pontiacs or Buicks. But it could fit in HUMMER's. I mean... it has to be a large sedan... not a Delta or Epsilon.... Zeta... BIG engines.... maybe even a wagon.

Ummm... I didn't say an off-road car. I'm talking about a big balls out high HP V8 sedan. Rugged looks, luxurious, but not "Cadillac refined." More of a brash, luxury sedan. Built on a Zeta with a 400 HP base engine... 19" wheels... seats 5... 4WD... for about $40K. I think It might just work. Not saying to it soon... maybe by 2010.
