I can see why GM did this....

I was reading GM canada's media online site on oldsmobile's and I read the customer profile's on some of their cars before the alero, intrigue and bravada came out. That's why the cutlass thing failed in the 90's

CUTLASS CIERA:
Cutlass Ciera customers are primarily male, older, and the vast majority
are married. Most (two-thirds) also are retired. They choose this vehicle
because of its reliability, over all vehicle quality, price and value, plus
its riding comfort, styling and roominess. As committed domestic
carbuyers, they choose North American vehicles first.

CUTLASS SUPREME:

Cutlass Supreme customers are typically males in their 50s. Most
commonly they hold a white collar/executive position. They buy
Cutlass Supreme for value, exterior styling and riding comfort.
They choose North American vehicles first.

I was reading other customer profiles and it seems that oldsmobile at that time was trying to be an alternative to buick which doesn't make sense to me where they should've done and ended up doing was making them a pontiac with the quality of an import. I then read pontiac's profiles and they are all young people who want performance and chevy was for value minded people. I don't believe marketing caused olds 2 die since I saw quite a few ads on oldsmobiles plus the media loved them, I heard from one gmi user that it was because some dealers wouldn't comply with GM's demands, honestly it will be a real mystery why they got rid of it.

GM it was 1996, not 1966, give me a break, that's why Oldsmobile started making their cars more import-like and I noticed that with my alero, the interior is very expensive feeling but still holds true to its american roots which i of course liked.

I also noticed that on their other models, they were trying to aim at younger buyers while their midsizers were for frugal viagra using 50 year olds lol, look 50 year OLDS, like oldsmobile, no wonder why they kept saturn, olds sounded old, but regardless olds should've stayed.
