HX confirmation in a Podcast?

I don't know if we have already confirmed that Hummer has been working on an HX, but in one of GM's fastlane podcasts they interview the former head of Hummer Design about the Solstice. He then is asked a question reguarding the platform, then he starts talking about how the highly secretive HX program was in the same problem, lacking a platform. Is this the first mention by GM of the HX?

I don't know but if they do make an HX or presumably an H4, I hope that it will go after Jeeps Wrangler that would be pretty cool!

Ya, that would be cool. I'd buy one as my winter car. But my opinion is that they won't develop vehicles cheaper than the H3, in order to maintain their luxury status.

Ya I caught that, I was physced at first but you gotta understand how fast stuff changes at GM. And the guy isn't even with Hummer anymore. But ya thats has been rumored for awhile and I wouldn't doubt that it would happen. Its the next logical step for Hummer, that and a H3 truck.

I think they should do a concept Hummer coupe... like a tough, off-road Hummer-esque sorta rally car deal. It'd be a bad idea to produce, but cool as a concept.

They already had a mock-up of what you described made and it was not approved for further developement.
