If I had $30k to spend on an SUV, the H3 would be at the top of my list.

Re: How many will buy a HUMMER H3 ..

My dad wants to loom at one for my mom but she wants a Cadilllac so it's kinda hard to know if we are getting one or not. I don't get why he wants my family to have a cheap car like an H3 when we can afford better?

If we were in the market, we would look at it. In a year or so when we replace the RDV I will look at it. I would like more hp, but it can not be worse than my wifes RDV and she has no complaints.

Re: How many will buy a HUMMER H3 ..

test reports I've seen say it is not a fast vehicle off the line that its strong point is off road ability, wich is fine by me. I just cant see why in the world you want an SUV to go fast, if you want fast, get a Corvette!

Im not really an SUV fan. But for what its worth it does look nice and should sell fairly well.

So lets see. Toyota lied about recalls. Lied about their HP ratings... I wonder how much truth is in their milage ratings..

Too rich for my blood, but I probably wouldn't consider one, even if it was in my price range. It reminds me of a little electric cart that kids drive around, modeled after an H2.

Re: How many will buy a HUMMER H3 ..

maybe... if i were in that market (30k to spend, looking for midsized SUV), i'd see how it stacks up to the Xterra and 4-Runner. I think there's gonna be an interesting showdown between the new Xterra and H3... both are quite well matched in specs, but the H3 costs a good bit more cause of the HUMMER image. It'll be interesting to see if it's worth the extra cash, especially in off-roading ability.

I would think the Hummer would do much better in off roading as it has lower gearing, thus greater climbing ability for the hard core stuff.

Re: How many will buy a HUMMER H3 ..

the new h3 is so cool. if i didnt need a bed id be trading in for one. my canyon has some rattles, but the h3s interior looks far more solid. other than that, the platform is quite tremendous. im hopin some of the hardware can be swapped. i only with theyd kept the front end from the h3t

Re: How many will buy a HUMMER H3 ..

After driving an H2 SUT for the weekend, I want an H2 SUT. I will testdrive the H3 when it comes out to see how it compares. The H2 got 17.2L/100km for the 500km I drove it around the city...which is quite good I must say. I was flogging it a few times as well. If you havn't driven an H2, do it. It's one of the most comfortable trucks on the road...with solid feel to drive.

Re: How many will buy a HUMMER H3 ..

It is my next truck for sure. I'm waiting at least a year though. I want the Alpha package or at least a more powerful engine. I've driven the H2 and loved it, just a little too big and expensive for me though. The H3 is perfect.
